12/20/2006 USSPA hosted a luncheon meeting at the J. W. Marriott Hong
Kong with Mr. Alan Leong (辩產城某), member of the Hong Kong Legislative Council. Eight members attended the event.

11/30/2006 USSPA and Hong Kong Trade Development Council co-hosted the ¨Latest Trends of Investing & Sourcing in the USA〃 seminar on 30 November 2006. It was well received by over 200 attendees with 160 companies registered. The participating 8 states include, Arizona, Illinois, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, and Virginia. The event was supported by Port of New Jersey & New York, and Port of Long Beach. A networking reception sponsored by State of Virginia was held after the seminar.

11/29/2006 - 12/1/2006 The Association participated at the World SME Expo 2006 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre from 29 November, 2006 to 1 December, 2006. USSPA and membersˇ materials and publications were on display at the USA pavilion. USSPA also hosted a networking reception at Ocean Blue Grills & Bar for participating States and local economic development agencies.
11/25/2006 USSPA organized an outing to Ngong Ping 360 in Lantau, Hong Kong on 25 November, 2006. Eleven USSPA and family members participated and visited the Buddha during the trip.
10/8/2006 A First Aid seminar including CPR demonstration was organized for USSPA. Staff form Ohio, Illinois, North Carolina, Port of New York & New Jersey and Port of Long Beach attended the program.
9/9/2006 USSPA hosted an ¨ Invest in USA〃 Seminar at the 10th China International Fair for Investment & Trade on Sept., 9, 2006 in Xiamen, China. Supported by China Council for the Promotion of the International Trade, Xiamen Sub-Council, this half-day program was well attended by over 100 officials and business leaders. Representatives from Idaho, Illinois and Ohio along with visa officials form the U.S. Consulate General, Guangzhou made presentation related to business climate, location, incentives and visas at the event.

7/3/2006 Jacqueline Willis, Hong Kong Commissioner for Economic and Trade Affairs, USA hosted a luncheon reception for U.S. States & Ports Association, Greater China at Shanghai Club, 6 members attended the event.
6/28-30/2006 USSPA participated in the South China International Transport and Logistics Exhibition (SITL) 2006 co-organized by Reed Exhibitions and CCPIT, at Guangzhou Jin Han Exhibition Center. USSPA and members' materials and publications were disseminated at the USA Pavilion. Participating members: Port of Long Beach, Port of Los Angeles, Port of New York & New Jersey, Port of Tacoma, State of North Carolina and State of Virginia.
6/23/2006 USSPA and The Shenzhen International Business Exchange Center co-hosted an 'Investing in USA' seminar on 6/23/2006 attended by more than 80 local executives. The half-day program was reported by Shenzhen Economic Daily (http://paper.sznews.com/szsb/20060626/ca2352780.htm), Shenzhen Special Zone Daily (http://paper.sznews.com/tqb/20060624/ca2351797.htm), and on the homepage of Shenzhen CCPIT (http://shenzhen.ccpit.org). Representatives from States of Illinois, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia made presentation at the event.

6/19/2006 USSPA hosted a farewell reception for Ms. Sarah Kemp, Commercial Consul of US Consulate General, Hong Kong at New Dynasty Scenic Restaurant. Ms Kemp will be taking up a new assignment at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing. The event was attended by 7 members.
4/5/2006 Norman L. Li and Steven Zou representing the U.S.S.P.A., attended the "2nd Xian Round Table Meeting for Chambers of Commerce and Trade Association" and voted to proclaim the Xian Declaration at ITFCEW Forum in Xian.
4/4/2006 USSPA hosted a lunch meeting at the American Club with Ms. Audrey Eu (璝哩), Legislator and House Leader of Civic Party in Hong Kong. 9 members & alumni attended the event.

3/1/2006 USSPA hosted a Meeting CEO luncheon with Mr. Kenneth Ting (と关), Chairman of the Hong Kong Federation of Industry, also Chairman of Kader Industries at the J.W. Marriott in Hong Kong. This outreach event was attended by 10 USSPA members. The USSPA annual election and bi-monthly meeting was held after lunch. The present executive line-up Norman L. Li, Edward Yau, and Salina Wong were re-elected as the President, Vice President, and Treasurer/Port Co-ordinator.
2/28/2006 USSPA delegation visited Shenzhen. Held meetings with CCPIT Shenzhen office and Shenzhen Machinery Association to explore business opportunities. This outreach program was attended by 5 USSPA members.
2/20/2006 USSPA, Greater China was invited to attend the CCPIT  US&FCS International Partner Network Xiamen Office Opening Ceremony and to speak at the Sino-American Trade Promotion Seminar in Xiamen, Province of Fujian. Representative from states of Illinois, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Port of Long Beach had attended.

1/4//2006 Members of USSPA visited Esmond Lee, Deputy Director of Hong Kong Environmental Protection Department. Environmental issues and business opportunities in Hong Kong were discussed.
Participating members: Illinois, Long Beach, Los Angles, North Caroline and Ohio.

USSPA Christmas Lunch Party was held at the Charterhouse Hotel, Hong Kong and attended by 26 members, staff and Alumni.

USSPA, Greater China was invited to attend US Commercial Service, China All Hands Annual Meeting in Sanya to discuss future co-operation. Representatives from States of Idaho, Illinois, North Carolina and Pennsylvania attended the event.

USSPA and The Hong Kong Trade Development Council co-hosted the ¨Investing and Doing Business in the U.S.A.〃 seminar. The half-day program was attended by more than 240 Hong Kong and Chinese executives. Speakers included Hon James B. Cunningham, U.S. Consul General in Hong Kong and representatives from Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Illinois, Virginia, and Washington States.

USSPA hosted a luncheon reception at the Hong Kong Marriott honoring the newly arrived U.S. Consul General to Hong Kong, Hon James Cunningham. The Consul General gave a briefing on the current Hong Kong - U.S.A. relations to the 10 USSPA members attending the meeting. Business promotion co-operation between the two agencies was also discussed.

Norman Li & Shirley Co, representing the USSPA, entered a cooperation agreement with China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Guangzhou, at the Guangzhou Modern Services Expo in Guangzhou.

USSPA delegation visited Macau. Held meetings with Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) and major companies from the growing hospitality industry in the Special Administrative Region.
Mr. Jackson Chang, Executive Director of IPIM also hosted a luncheon reception for participating members from: Illinois, Long Beach, Los Angles, Nevada, North Carolina, and New York & New Jersey.

USSPA hosted a luncheon reception for Mr. Pao Cheng Kong (タ), Managing Director of the Chung Hwa Travel Service from Taiwan at the Hong Kong Marriott Hotel. The luncheon was attended by 7 members.

A dim sum lunch gathering with members and alumni was organized at the Dynasty Scenic Restaurant. 18 members and alumni had attended.

USSPA hosted a meeting CEOs luncheon with David Sun, Chairman, Ernst & Young, China, at the Dynasty Scenic Restaurant. This outreach event was attended by 7 USSPA members. Internal meeting was held after the luncheon.

7/22-25/2005 USSPA participated at the 2005 Taiwan Bio Exhibition at the Taipei International World Trade Center. Materials and brochures from Illinois, Ohio, North Carolina, Idaho and New Mexico were disseminated at this very successful promotion.
7/19/2005 Stephen Wong, Director of Americas, Hong Kong Trade Development Council, New York Office, visited the U.S. States & Ports Association, Greater China, in Hong Kong and discussed Pan Pearl River Delta business opportunities for U.S. companies. 8 members attended the event

USSPA hosted a luncheon reception for Ms. Jacqueline Willis, Hong Kong Commission for Economic and Trade Affairs, USA, and her staff to discuss cooperation in promoting Hong Kong business opportunities in the U.S. Eight USSPA representatives attended the event.

6/28/2005 Mr. Zhang Ruming, Chairman of CCPIT, Liaoning, paid a courtesy call to USSPA and met with the Executive Committee and 6 USSPA members and friends to explore business cooperation & opportunities with US firms.
6/8/2005 The Executive Committee of USSPA received a 3-member delegation from China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Guangzhou, headed by Mr. Weng Wen Xiang, President of Guangzhou China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, who is seeking to establish a closer working relationship with USSPA in promoting trade between China and the U.S. Five members attended the meeting.

The Executive committee along with 5 members hosted a luncheon meeting at the Hong Kong Marriott with Vice Minister Yang Wen Chang (法ゅ, ユ场捌场), Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

USSPA hosted a Meeting CEOs luncheon with Jay Chun, Chairman and Managing Director of LifeTec Group Ltd, and Chairman of the Chamber of HK Listed Companies, and Mr. Eddie Leung, Chairman of Paper Communication Exhibition Services, at the American Club. This outreach event was attended by 9 USSPA representatives. Bi-monthly meeting was held after the luncheon.
